121-Seats Heavy Rail Train

The 121-seat heavy rail train is our flagship for high-volume scenic areas. The formation is a locomotive, a tender and three passenger carriages on 900 mm gauge, carrying 120 seated passengers plus the crew. Power comes from a Cummins diesel generator set rated at 120 kW, driving through a V-F variable frequency control system with pneumatic braking and an 8 metre braking distance. The train is designed for demanding alignments: a minimum curve radius of 30 metres, operation up to 1,200 metres altitude, and a driving voltage of AC 380 V with DC 24 V control. It gives a genuine railway experience with the reliability of an industrial drive system.
